I've been drawing as a hobby for as long as I can remember, and I'm just really pleased the world now has things like the internet and POD sites where I can now display them!

I grew up in rural Virginia in the most picturesque of places full of rolling hills, thick forests, cow fields, the best front porch swing, and even a creek with a perfect swimming hole. The time I spent in nature as a kid was priceless and pretty much inspires everything I make.

I'm also obsessed with children's book illustrations as well as art made by children themselves. Before having my own kids, I taught preschool, and I loved watching the kids who always chose the "art center" during their free time. I always strive to let my imagination rule and create as freely as kids do!

I still live in Virginia, and although in a more urban area, I do have a deck squirrel who I can feed by hand, and I look forward to his visits every day! I also have a fabulous husband and two sweet little boys whose interests are also a huge source of inspiration, (hence my entire series on beetles).
